Antique tripod side table in mahogany wood, Central European auxiliary table of Regency inspiration originating from Central Europe and dated circa 1930. Originates from Central Europe, from the first half of the 20th century, where furniture of English Regency inspiration was reinterpreted with noble woods and elegant proportions.

In Central European bourgeois interiors of the first third of the 20th century, tripod side tables served as a living-room auxiliary table, a support for a lamp or a surface beside an armchair. Their Regency language — central turned baluster shaft and tripod with fluted legs — evokes British taste from the late 18th century.

Built in mahogany wood with an oval shaped-edge top, central baluster turned shaft and tripod formed by three fluted legs that open in an arch to the ground. The construction is slender and the formal reading is balanced by the horizontality of the top.

The patina retains the warm and deep tone of aged mahogany, with the grain visible under a satin sheen. The top shows marks, small stains and traces of prolonged use integrated into the wood. The structure remains sound.

It fits naturally in eclectic, contemporary classical and vintage bourgeois interiors. It works as a living-room side table, an auxiliary table beside an armchair or a support for a lamp. Its contained scale lets it integrate in diverse spaces.
