Provient du Gansu, dans le nord-ouest de la Chine, du d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle, o\u00f9 le pin local \u00e9tait travaill\u00e9 selon l&#8217;assemblage \u00e0 tenon et mortaise sans clous, dans un format bas et horizontal.<\/p>\n<p>Dans les maisons du corridor du Hexi, les buffets bas \u00e9troits occupaient une place discr\u00e8te dans la pi\u00e8ce principale ou dans l&#8217;antichambre. Leur hauteur r\u00e9duite \u00e9tait compatible avec l&#8217;habitude de vivre pr\u00e8s du sol et avec la pr\u00e9sence du kang. Ils servaient \u00e0 la fois de surface d&#8217;appui et de meuble de rangement horizontal.<\/p>\n<p>Construit en pin massif selon l&#8217;assemblage traditionnel \u00e0 tenon et mortaise, sans clous. Le caisson articule un compartiment central ouvert et deux petites portes lat\u00e9rales \u00e0 poign\u00e9es circulaires de fer en loquet. Les c\u00f4t\u00e9s sont r\u00e9solus en plaque lat\u00e9rale massive, sans pieds d\u00e9gag\u00e9s. Le plateau sup\u00e9rieur est un plan horizontal continu.<\/p>\n<p>La patine conserve le ton chaud du pin patin\u00e9, avec le veinage visible et une brillance mate. La surface pr\u00e9sente des marques, des taches et des traces de l&#8217;usage domestique prolong\u00e9, int\u00e9gr\u00e9es au bois. La structure reste solide.<\/p>\n<p>S&#8217;int\u00e8gre avec naturel dans des int\u00e9rieurs minimalistes, wabi-sabi ou rustiques contemporains. Fonctionne comme meuble bas de salon sous t\u00e9l\u00e9vision, banc-buffet dans un vestibule ou console horizontale face \u00e0 un canap\u00e9.
