Provient du Shanxi, dans le nord de la Chine, du d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle, o\u00f9 le pin local \u00e9tait travaill\u00e9 selon l&#8217;assemblage \u00e0 tenon et mortaise sans clous, avec un front articul\u00e9 en tiroirs et portes centrales.<\/p>\n<p>Dans les maisons du nord de la Chine, les buffets bas de grande longueur remplissaient une fonction de rangement et, par leur \u00e9chelle horizontale, ancraient visuellement la pi\u00e8ce principale. La couche de peinture claire appliqu\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#8217;origine a \u00e9t\u00e9 us\u00e9e par le temps, laissant un ton ros\u00e9 adouci sur le pin.<\/p>\n<p>Construit en pin massif selon l&#8217;assemblage traditionnel \u00e0 tenon et mortaise, sans clous. Le front articule quatre tiroirs lat\u00e9raux \u2014 deux de chaque c\u00f4t\u00e9 \u2014 et deux portes centrales parall\u00e8les, tous \u00e0 poign\u00e9es circulaires de fer en loquet. Les c\u00f4t\u00e9s sont sculpt\u00e9s en bas-relief de volutes v\u00e9g\u00e9tales et la ceinture inf\u00e9rieure est d\u00e9coup\u00e9e en arc lob\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>La patine conserve le ton clair d&#8217;origine avec des nuances ros\u00e9es de la peinture us\u00e9e, int\u00e9gr\u00e9es au veinage du pin. La brillance est mate. Les surfaces pr\u00e9sentent des abrasions amples, de petites pertes et des traces de l&#8217;usage domestique prolong\u00e9. La structure reste solide.<\/p>\n<p>S&#8217;int\u00e8gre avec naturel dans des int\u00e9rieurs wabi-sabi, rustiques contemporains et \u00e9clectiques. Fonctionne comme buffet horizontal dans un salon de proportion g\u00e9n\u00e9reuse, console fil\u00e9e dans une grande entr\u00e9e ou pi\u00e8ce ancre dans une salle \u00e0 manger.
