Il ne conserve pas d&#8217;\u00e9tiquette de fabricant et se d\u00e9crit par typologie et r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n<p>Les buffets des zones c\u00f4ti\u00e8res du nord de la Chine, bordant la mer de Bohai, partagent\u00a0leur structure avec les meubles de l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur mais pr\u00e9sentent souvent des finitions plus lav\u00e9es, propres au climat salin et \u00e0 l&#8217;usage domestique r\u00e9gional. La combinaison de tiroirs hauts et de portes basses convenait au rangement de la literie, de la vaisselle ou de petites provisions.<\/p>\n<p>Le b\u00e2ti est assembl\u00e9 en mortaises et tenons aveugles. Les deux tiroirs hauts conservent leurs anneaux circulaires d&#8217;origine en fer forg\u00e9, et les deux portes basses pivotent sur axes en bois, fermant par entr\u00e9es et anneaux assortis. Un tablier d\u00e9coup\u00e9 soul\u00e8ve la caisse de quelques centim\u00e8tres au-dessus du sol.<\/p>\n<p>La patine pr\u00e9sente le ton gris-perle caract\u00e9ristique du pin lav\u00e9 par le temps dans les int\u00e9rieurs c\u00f4tiers, avec un veinage profond et de l\u00e9g\u00e8res traces de pigment sombre dans les feuillures. L&#8217;usure est coh\u00e9rente: ar\u00eates adoucies, frottement l\u00e9ger en fa\u00e7ade et ferrures \u00e0 oxydation stable.<\/p>\n<p>Il fonctionne en buffet de s\u00e9jour, en meuble bas pour t\u00e9l\u00e9viseur ou en pi\u00e8ce de rangement dans une chambre principale.
