Il provient du nord de la Chine, de la fin de la dynastie Qing, o\u00f9 le pin \u00e9tait travaill\u00e9 selon un assemblage traditionnel \u00e0 tenons et mortaises.<\/p>\n<p>Les buffets \u00e9troits \u00e0 deux portes appartiennent au registre domestique chinois du nord. Leur profondeur r\u00e9duite \u2014 40 cm dans ce cas \u2014 les rendait adapt\u00e9s aux espaces de transition : murs lat\u00e9raux, vestibules, zones de passage entre les pi\u00e8ces. La hauteur sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 la largeur donne une proportion presque verticale, l\u00e9g\u00e8re, propre aux pi\u00e8ces urbaines de la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n<p>Le corps est construit en pin massif. La structure est un volume rectangulaire ferm\u00e9 par deux portes \u00e0 cadre p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique profil\u00e9 en double moulure et plateau central en r\u00e9serve. Sous les portes, une bande inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 deux panneaux encadr\u00e9s. Les poign\u00e9es sont en fer forg\u00e9, avec anneau circulaire fix\u00e9 par rivet. La base repose sur des pieds int\u00e9gr\u00e9s. L&#8217;assemblage est traditionnel chinois \u00e0 tenons et mortaises, sans visserie.<\/p>\n<p>La patine du pin montre un ton naturellement vieilli, avec le veinage apparent et de douces variations chromatiques entre planches. Les cadres des portes pr\u00e9sentent de l\u00e9gers fon\u00e7ages sur les bords ; la surface centrale conserve un ton plus clair. Les ferrures pr\u00e9sentent une oxydation stable. La surface du plateau sup\u00e9rieur conserve de l\u00e9g\u00e8res marques d&#8217;usage.<\/p>\n<p>Par sa profondeur de 40 cm et sa hauteur de 93 cm, ce buffet est une pi\u00e8ce polyvalente pour les espaces serr\u00e9s. Il fonctionne dans les couloirs, vestibules, chambres ou comme rangement dans des salons \u00e0 plan limit\u00e9.
