La base monte quatre <em>roulettes en laiton d&#8217;origine<\/em>. Il provient de Tch\u00e9coslovaquie, de l&#8217;Art D\u00e9co centre-europ\u00e9en, vers 1930, o\u00f9 le mobilier d&#8217;appoint se concevait avec des lignes g\u00e9om\u00e9triques adoucies et des placages de bois nobles.<\/p>\n<p>Le mobilier d&#8217;appoint Art D\u00e9co d&#8217;Europe centrale \u2014 Tch\u00e9coslovaquie, Autriche, Hongrie \u2014 associait la g\u00e9om\u00e9trie \u00e9pur\u00e9e du mouvement moderne aux mat\u00e9riaux traditionnels comme le placage de noyer. Les pi\u00e8ces \u00e0 roulettes appartenaient au salon bourgeois : gu\u00e9ridon de fumeur, chariot \u00e0 liqueurs, porte-revues ou meuble t\u00e9l\u00e9phonique. La production tch\u00e9coslovaque des ann\u00e9es 1930 a offert ce type de mobilier pour la classe moyenne urbaine en expansion.<\/p>\n<p>Le corps est construit sur une structure interne avec placage de noyer appliqu\u00e9 sur toute la surface visible. La silhouette pr\u00e9sente des flancs galb\u00e9s en S, une fa\u00e7ade \u00e0 deux tiroirs \u00e0 poign\u00e9es rectangulaires en laiton et un porte-revues inf\u00e9rieur ouvert. La base monte quatre roulettes circulaires pivotantes en laiton. La surface est vernie en finition brillante qui met en valeur le dessin du veinage.<\/p>\n<p>La patine conserve la surface brillante d&#8217;origine avec de l\u00e9g\u00e8res marques d&#8217;usage caract\u00e9ristiques d&#8217;un meuble d&#8217;usage domestique. Le placage de noyer garde un dessin chaud aux tons brun moyen. Les roulettes et poign\u00e9es en laiton conservent leur patine dor\u00e9e avec de l\u00e9g\u00e8res marques d&#8217;oxydation. Le porte-revues inf\u00e9rieur est complet et fonctionnel.<\/p>\n<p>Par sa taille contenue \u2014 57 \u00d7 35 \u00d7 59 cm \u2014 et ses roulettes fonctionnelles, cette pi\u00e8ce joue un r\u00f4le clair de table d&#8217;appoint de salon, support \u00e0 revues, table \u00e0 caf\u00e9 lat\u00e9rale ou pi\u00e8ce d&#8217;accent Art D\u00e9co.
