Il provient de Chine, du milieu du XX\u1d49 si\u00e8cle, o\u00f9 l&#8217;orme \u00e9tait travaill\u00e9 selon un assemblage traditionnel \u00e0 tenons et mortaises tout en conservant les typologies classiques Qing.<\/p>\n<p>Le mobilier chinois du milieu du XX\u1d49 si\u00e8cle a conserv\u00e9 la logique constructive traditionnelle avec un langage formel plus sobre que les pi\u00e8ces de la fin Qing. Les buffets \u00e0 deux portes et flancs massifs sont rest\u00e9s la typologie standard, d\u00e9sormais avec des surfaces plus \u00e9pur\u00e9es et moins de sculpture d\u00e9corative, ajust\u00e9es au go\u00fbt du XX\u1d49 si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n<p>Le corps est construit en orme massif. La fa\u00e7ade se compose de deux portes identiques \u00e0 cadre p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique profil\u00e9 et plateau central en r\u00e9serve. Les flancs sont massifs. La traverse basse pr\u00e9sente un profil simple et les pieds descendent \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9querre jusqu&#8217;au sol. Les poign\u00e9es sont des anneaux circulaires en fer forg\u00e9. L&#8217;assemblage est traditionnel chinois \u00e0 tenons et mortaises, sans visserie.<\/p>\n<p>La patine conserve un ton chaud brun avec le veinage de l&#8217;orme apparent. La surface du plateau sup\u00e9rieur montre le dessin naturel du bois avec de douces variations chromatiques et les ferrures pr\u00e9sentent une oxydation stable. Les zones les plus expos\u00e9es ont acquis un ton plus sombre par le frottement.<\/p>\n<p>Par sa longueur de 178 cm et sa hauteur de 87 cm, ce buffet fonctionne comme pi\u00e8ce de pr\u00e9sence importante dans les salons, salles \u00e0 manger, entr\u00e9es et chambres.
