Il provient de Chine, de la dynastie Qing tardive, o\u00f9 l&#8217;orme \u00e9tait travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 tenons et mortaises.<\/p>\n<p>Les meubles bas et allong\u00e9s servaient dans la maison chinoise d&#8217;appui et de rangement le long d&#8217;un mur, avec un rangement ferm\u00e9 et un creux ouvert \u00e0 la vue. Leur profil bas ordonnait la pi\u00e8ce sans la surcharger.<\/p>\n<p>Le corps est en orme massif, avec une rang\u00e9e de petits tiroirs, des portes \u00e0 anneaux aux extr\u00e9mit\u00e9s et une niche centrale ouverte. Les assemblages sont \u00e0 tenons et mortaises et la ferrure est en fer.<\/p>\n<p>La patine est chaude et r\u00e9guli\u00e8re, d&#8217;un ton miel au veinage d&#8217;orme apparent et \u00e0 l&#8217;usure douce sur les chants et les poign\u00e9es.
